Longevity by Design — Sabina Malikova Design Office

Full-service interior design for luxury homes, apartments, and villas. From concept to completion.

Residential commissions cover apartments, villas and single-room retrofits. The studio designs homes as daily health infrastructure. Sleep, air and light are specified like structure or plumbing.

Projects run in Türkiye and internationally from the Ankara headquarters. Consultations happen in five languages. Remote residential delivery uses scheduled site visits.

Biophilic design shapes material selection throughout. Natural stone, timber and planting appear in every occupied space. Bedrooms receive particular attention to darkness, quiet and clean air.

Typical residential scope

How a residential project runs

Work starts with a baseline survey of the home. Light levels, air quality and noise are measured room by room. The brief then sets numeric targets for each pillar. Construction details and material choices follow from those targets.

Bedrooms get the strictest specification. Evening light is limited to 2200–2700 K. Blackout detailing protects melatonin release through the night. Filtration keeps PM2.5 below the WHO limit of 5 µg/m³. Sleeping rooms are placed away from noise sources.

Daylight is mapped before furniture. Morning-lit rooms take breakfast tables and desks. Tunable lighting completes rooms that daylight cannot reach. Automated schedules keep the spectrum aligned across the day.

Handover includes verification against the original numbers. Households can opt into post-occupancy tracking afterwards. The Ankara results below came from six months of consented tracking.

Materials and daily health

Finishes are specified for health, not display. Low-emission products protect indoor air for years. Natural fibre textiles support the biophilic score. Durable surfaces keep the specification stable across a decade of use.

Families with allergies get targeted detailing. Hard, cleanable surfaces replace dust-holding materials where symptoms demand it. In the documented Ankara residence, pediatric allergy symptoms fell 50% in six months.

Terrace and garden rooms extend the standards outdoors. A completed Istanbul villa terrace applied biophilic and acoustic planning outside. Shading keeps outdoor rooms usable across seasons.

Documented residential outcomes

A completed 240 m² Ankara residence documented sleep quality up 38%. Perceived stress fell 29% on the PSS-10 scale (studio project data). Read more on the projects page.

The Beyoğlu retrofit shows the single-room path. An 80 m² loft was rebuilt around sleep and air. REM sleep rose from 18% to 25% of total sleep. Monthly asthma episodes stopped entirely (studio project data).

Residential conversations start with the inquiry form or by email. A feasibility reply follows by email.
